Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road, in parish of ROWLEY (EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE District), Rowley Cottage, on well kept grass verge, on North side of road. Beverley Mounting block, 2 step, erected by the Beverley, Hessle & North Cave turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (HULL) (9) Humber HER.
