Carved stone post by the A644, in parish of BRIGHOUSE (CALDERDALE District), Brighouse and Denholme Gate Road, Stone Chair, on the verge, back to new wall, opposite No. 41 Spring View, on West side of road. Erected by the Brighouse & Denholme Gate turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / Denholm / Gate / 4 Miles : : TO / Brighouse / 4 Miles : Carved benchmark on top left corner of the right side. Milestone Society National ID: YW_BHDE04.
