Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of ESHER (ELMBRIDGE District), Ewell Road, by No. 42, South side of junction with Orchard Close, in tarmac pavement, back to low wall, on West side of road. Surrey limestone pillar, erected by the Epsom, Ewell, Tooting etc turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- EWELL 5¼ Carved cancelled benchmark on lower face. Milestone Society National ID: SY_EWa05.
