Stone post (plate lost) by the A33, in parish of SOUTHAMPTON (SOUTHAMPTON District), Bassett, by junction with Bassett Avenue and road to Gables Court, in hedge bottom behind footpath, on East side of road. Erected by the Southampton, North District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- 9 From WINTON 3 From SOUTHTON (Inscription painted on before 2011) Milestone Society National ID: HA_WISO09.
