Metal plate attached to stone post by the B4209, in parish of HANLEY CASTLE (MALVERN HILLS District), opposite Yew Tree Farm, 300m East of Hanley Swan crossroads, on the verge, on North side of road. Erected by the Upton-upon-Severn turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- HANLEY ---- UPTON 3 MALVERN 5 MILES Grade II listed.
