Cast iron post by the B4102, in parish of MERIDEN (SOLIHULL District), Main Road; in garden of Fairview, No. 198, next to entrance of School, on edge of grass verge, 15 feet from road, on South side of road. Erected by the Dunchurch & Stonebridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- {hand->} / BIRMINGHAM / 12 MILES : : MERIDEN : : {<-hand} / COVENTRY / 5 MILES / LONDON / 96 : Milestone Society National ID: WA_CVBM05.
