Carved stone post by the UC road (was A574), in parish of POULTON WITH FEARNHEAD (WARRINGTON District), Fearnhead Lane; opposite Methodist church next to No. 90, by the road, on North side of road. Lancs. CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / LEIGH / MARKET PLACE / (7¾) MILES : : (TOWNSHIP OF POULTON / WITH FEARNHEAD / FEARNHEAD) : : TO / WARRINGTON / MARKET GATE / (3) MILES. : Grade II listed.
