Carved stone post by the A162, in parish of HILLAM (SELBY District), Betteras Hill, South of Betteras Hill Road and top of rise, on the verge below road level, on East side of road. Tadcaster plate, erected by the Doncaster & Tadcaster turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : LON / 180 / FER / 3 : : YORK / 18 / TAD / 9 : (To London, Ferrybridge and York, Tadcaster) Carved benchmark on top. Grade II listed.
