Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of COSTESSEY (SOUTH NORFOLK District), 50yds West of junction with Three Mile Lane, on slip road North of roundabout, on the verge backed by Cypress trees, on North side of road. Joseph Stanley iron plate (remade), erected by the Norwich & Swaffham turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- NORWICH 3 DEREHAM 13 Norfolk HER.
