Carved stone post by the A679, in parish of HAPTON (BURNLEY District), Hapton, by wall, on North side of road. Erected by the Bury to Blackburn, Whalley etc. turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- HAPTON PARISH {floral decoration} BOUNDARY {<-arrow} HAPTON 2 miles BURNLEY {arrow->} 2 miles Milestone Society National ID: LA_BUAC02
