Carved stone post by the UC road (was A57), in parish of GREAT SANKEY (WARRINGTON District), Liverpool Road, near East Avenue, on pavement, between No.144 and petrol station, at junction with Penketh Road, on Southwest side of road. Warrington triangular stone, erected by the Warrington & Lower Irlam turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / PRESCOT / 8 / MILES / TO / LIVERPOOL / 16 / MILES : : TO / WARRINGTON / 2 / MILES : Grade II listed.
