Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of DEBDEN (UTTLESFORD District), Debden Road junction with Water Lane, on verge at crossroads, by signs, on Northeast side of road. Erected by a private company in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : STED / 24 / THAXTED / 5 / DUNMOW / 11 : : LONDON / 30 : : SAFFRON / WALDEN / 3 : Milestone Society National ID: EX_DEB01.
