Carved stone post by the A258, in parish of ST MARGARETS AT CLIFFE (DOVER District), Dover Road, by "The Animal Inn", near Oxneybottom Wood, on grass verge, in front of trellis, on South side of road. Sandwich limestone block, erected by the Dover, Deal to Sandwich turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : DOVER / 5 : : DEAL / 4 : Kent HER.
