Metal plate attached to stone post by the A435, in parish of CIRENCESTER (COTSWOLD District), Stratton, by the East side of road, opposite No. 143. Cirencester iron plate, erected by the Cirencester to Cheltenham turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- CIREN.R 1 CHELT.M 14 Carved bench mark on Northeast face. Milestone Society National ID: GL_CICM01.
