Carved stone post by the A24, in parish of MERTON (MERTON District), Morden Road, North side of railway bridge (visible from steps to Morden Road tram station), on top of steep, overgrown bank, behind advertising hoarding, on West side of road. Surrey limestone pillar, erected by the Epsom, Ewell, Tooting etc. turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (LONDON) (9) Milestone Society National ID: SY_LA09.
