Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of CAMBERWELL AND DULWICH (SOUTHWARK District), Dulwich village at junction with Burbage Road, set in slabs on roundabout; beside a finger post and drinking fountain, in centre of road. Surrey limestone pillar, erected by the Surrey & Sussex turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- Front: : Miles / From the / Treasury / Whitehall : : V : : Miles / From the / Standard / Cornhill : Back: : SISTE VIATOR / T.T. / 1772 : Carved cancelled benchmark on lower face. Milestone Society National ID: SY_LODU05.
