Metal plate attached to wooden post by the B3227, in parish of EAST ANSTEY (NORTH DEVON District), east of Woodburn Cross, 75m East of crossroads, on the verge, back to hedge, below telegraph pole, on North side of road. Wiveliscombe iron plate, erected by the Wiveliscombe turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- WIVELISCOMBE 16 Devon & Dartmoor HER.
