Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of STONE (STAFFORD District), High Street, by No. 64, by front door of house, in paving, on Southwest side of road. Stone and iron plate, erected by the Rugeley & Stone turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- LICHFIELD 22 MILES LONDON 135 MILES Grade II listed.
