Cast iron post by the A137, in parish of ARDLEIGH (TENDRING District), 10m North of Lodge Lane, by the road, on Northwest side of road. Bendall iron casting, erected by the Essex Second District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HARWICH / 17 : : TO / LONDON / 55 / Ardleigh : : COLCHESTER / 4 : Grade II listed.
