Carved stone post by the A629, in parish of HUDDERSFIELD (KIRKLEES District), Edgerton Road; opposite Luther Place, near octagonal bus shelter, on North side of road. Huddersfield 'To - From' stone, erected by the Halifax & Huddersfield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / HUDDERSFIELD / 1 / MILE. : : FROM / HUDDERSFIELD / 1 / MILE : Carved benchmark on bevel. Milestone Society National ID: YW_XHTF23.
