Carved stone post by the A653, in parish of BATLEY AND LIVERSEDGE (KIRKLEES District), Leeds Road, junction with the B6124 Soothill Lane, at corner of Babes in the Wood PH, on West side of road. Erected by an unknown authority in the 18th/19th century. Inscription reads:- (Ba)t(ley) 2 Mile(s) Carved benchmark on base left side. Milestone Society National ID: YW_LEDW06.
