Cast iron post by the B5027 (was A51), in parish of STONE (STAFFORD District), Lichfield Road, on grass in front of brick wall, on Northwest side of road. Cochrane iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 20th century. Inscription reads:- : SANDON 3¼ / WESTON 5¾ / RUGELEY 13½ / LICHFIELD 21 / LONDON 140 : : STONE / PARISH : : STONE 1 / NEWCASTLE 9½ : Maker:- : Cochrane & Co, Dudley. : Staffordshire HER listed.
