Stone post (plate lost) by the B3151, in parish of YEOVILTON (SOUTH SOMERSET District), near Yeovilton Royal Naval Air Station, on grass verge, on South side of road. Ilchester iron shield, erected by the Ilchester turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Castle Cary) (8½) (Ilchester) (2) Somerset HER listed.
