Carved stone post by the A6033, in parish of TODMORDEN (CALDERDALE District), Rochdale Road; Walsden, next to No. 774, near Border Rose PH, South end of village, on West side of road. Todmorden rolltop, erected by the Todmorden turnpike trust in the 18th/19th century. Inscription reads:- TO TODMORDEN {hand->} 2 MILES {line} TO ROCHDALE 7 MILES {<-hand} {line} Grade II listed.
