Old Milestone, A38, Gloucester Road, Alveston

The milestone is located opposite Heatherfield, on the verge, by the mobile phone mast, on the east side of the road. Parish of Alveston (South Gloucestershire District). Stone post (plate lost), Bristol incised iron plate design, erected by the Bristol turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- To / Bristol / 9 Milestone Society National ID: GL_GLBR25
