Carved stone post by the B556, in parish of RIDGE (HERTSMERE District), Top of Ridge Hill, near Shenley Lodge Farm (There are two stones on opposite sides of road - see also Image), on the verge, on Southwest side of road. St Albans stone, erected by the Pondyards (St Albans) & Barnet turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 5 Miles To St Albans Grade II listed.
