Cast iron post by the UC road, in parish of THAXTED (UTTLESFORD District), Bardfield Road, "Tylers", part hidden in hedge and ditch. Erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : THAXTED / 2 / WALDEN / 9 : : COLCHESTER / 28 / Thaxted : : GT BARDFIELD / 3 / BRAINTREE / 12 : Essex HER listed.
