Carved stone post by the A379, in parish of DAWLISH (TEIGNBRIDGE District), Teignmouth Road; opposite Holcombe Road and Alta Vista, in tarmac on pavement under hedge, at end of wall, above grid of drain, on South side of road. Teignmouth granite stone, erected by the Teignmouth & Dawlish turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 1 Mile to TEIGNMOUTH 14 Miles (to) (EXETER) Devon & Dartmoor HER listed.
