Cast iron post by the B656, in parish of CODICOTE (NORTH HERTFORDSHIRE District), South of Codicote, on the verge, on West side of road. Cheshunt iron casting, erected by the Welwyn turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HITCHIN / 8 : : CODICOTE / PARISH : : LONDON / 26 : Grade II listed.
