Metal plate attached to stone post by the A39, in parish of ASHCOTT (SEDGEMOOR District), West end of Ashcott village, on grass verge, on South side of road. Bridgewater small iron plate, erected by the Bridgwater turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- 9 Miles to B.Water Somerset HER listed.
