Carved stone post by the A683, in parish of MELLING WITH WRAYTON (LANCASTER District), Main Street, in wall of church Yard, set in a niche within the stone retaining wall of church yard, on East side of road. Lancs CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / HORNBY / 2 MILES / LANCASTER / 11 MILES : : MELLING : : TO / KY LONSDALE / 5½ MILES / INGLETON / 7 MILES : Grade II listed.
