Carved stone post by the former A3102, in parish of CALNE WITHOUT (NORTH WILTSHIRE District), Oxford Road, South of new roundabout, between junction with Porte Marsh Industrial Estate and lane to High Penn Farm, on narrow verge between road and hedge, on East side of road. Calne stone, erected by the Calne, Lynham & Hillmarton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : From / CALNE / 1 MILE : : TO / SWINDON / (15) : Milestone Society National ID: WI_SNCN15.
