Cast iron plate by the A61, in parish of SHEFFIELD (SHEFFIELD District), Eccleshall Road; at junction of St Mary's Gate and London Road, Sheffield, in stone base of former bank (now a Thai restaurant) on footpath, near subway, on South side of road. Sheffield Arrow, erected by the Sheffield & Chapel en le Frith turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- {arrow} HATHERSAGE 10 MILES CASTLETON 16 MILES CHAPEL-EN-LE- FRITH 22 MILES The former bank is Grade II Listed.
