Carved stone post by the A286, in parish of HASLEMERE (WAVERLEY District), Grayswood, near Beech Farm, on grass behind footpath, on West side of road. Petworth stone, erected by the Haslemere turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : (HYDE PARK CORNER) / 39 MILES / (MIDHURST / 9 MILES / GODALMING / 7 MILES / HASLEMERE / 1 MILE) : Carved bench mark on North East face. Milestone Society National ID: SY_LMID39.
