Carved stone post by the A62, in parish of HUDDERSFIELD (KIRKLEES District), Manchester Road, near Blackmoorfoot Road, in corner between railway bridge and wall, on South side of road, West of bridge, by lamppost. Huddersfield 'To - From' stone, erected by the Wakefield & Austerlands turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : FROM / HUDD / (HUDDERSFIELD / 1 ) / MILE : : TO / HUDD / (HUDDERSFIELD / 1 ) / MILE : Milestone Society National ID: YW_XHTF14.
