Carved stone post by the A286, in parish of WITLEY (WAVERLEY District), Witley Common, on the verge by woods, on East side of road. Petworth stone, erected by the Haslemere turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HYDE PARK CORNER / 35 MILES / MIDHURST / 13 MILES / GODALMING / 3 MILES / HASLEMERE / 5 MILES : Carved benchmark mid lower front. Milestone Society National ID: SY_LMID35.
