Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of BARMBY MOOR (EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE District), opposite the Squirrels PH, on well kept verge, on North side of road. Beverley Mounting block, 3 step, erected by the Beverley to Kexby Bridge turnpike trust in the 18th/19th century. Inscription reads:- 19 BEVERLEY 10 YORK Carved benchmark on 2nd step.
