Cast iron post by the A361, in parish of WEST PENNARD (MENDIP District), between Piltown and Laverley, in hedge beside footpath, on North side of road. Plated iron casting, erected by the Shepton Mallet turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SHEPTON / MALLET / 5 : : TAUNTON / 25 : : GLASTON / BURY / 4 : Grade II Listed. List Entry Number: 1308179 Milestone Society National ID: SO_SMGB05.
