Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of BOLTON (BOLTON District), Winchester Way, 100m South of junction with Blair Lane in wall, on North East side of road. Erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / BOLTON CR(OSS) / (1½) MILES : Carved benchmark lower right. Milestone Society National ID: LA_BOBY01a.
