Stone post (plates lost) by the A666, in parish of DARWEN (BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN District), Bolton Road, Whitehall, by the road, on East side of road. Erected by the Bolton & Blackburn turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- : (Blackburn 5) : : (Bolton 7) : Carved benchmark on top. Milestone Society National ID: LA_BBBO05.
