Metal plate attached to stone post by the A423, in parish of BOURTONS (CHERWELL District), near Little Bourton, 2 miles North of Banbury, on verge next to seat near 'Welcome to Banbury' sign, on East side of road. Erected by the Finford Bridge & Banbury turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : Coventry / 24 Miles / Banbury / 2¼ / Southam / 11¾ : Milestone Society National ID: OX_CVBA24.
