Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of BRIDLINGTON (EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE District), Cardigan Road, next to church, on urban grass verge, on West side of road. Beverley flat iron casting, erected by the White Cross to Bridlington turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : BRIDLINGTON / 1 / BEVERLEY / 22 : Carved benchmark on right lower side. Milestone Society National ID: YE_BRBV01.
