Carved stone post by the A337, in parish of LYNDHURST (NEW FOREST District), Shrubbs Hill Road, Lyndhurst, garden verge, well cultivated, between two small conifers, on East side of road. Lymington wedge, erected by the Lymington, Lyndhurst & Rumbridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : VIII / MILES / TO / LYMINGTON : : X / MILES / TO / SOUTHAMPTON : Grade II Listed. List Entry Number: 1296956 Milestone Society National ID: HA_LYLH08.
