Metal plate attached to stone post by the A631, in parish of TICKHILL (DONCASTER District), Tickhill, left hand bend by junction of Westgate with Castle Gate, opposite PH, on the verge next to footpath in front of No.4, on North side of road. Brayshaw & Booth iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : BAWTRY / 4 MILES : : BAWTRY & TINSLEY / ROAD / TICKHILL : : SHEFFIELD / 17 MILES / TINSLEY / 13 MILES / ROTHERHAM / 10¾ MILES : : BRAYSHAW & BOOTH / MAKERS / LIVERSEDGE : Grade II Listed. List Entry Number: 1191835 Milestone Society National ID: YS_TYBW13.
