Cast iron post by the A425, in parish of NAPTON ON THE HILL (STRATFORD ON AVON District), in front of Middle Cottage, on mown verge, on North side of road. Tarver iron casting, erected by the Warwick & Northampton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SOUTHAM / 3 / DAVENTRY 7¼ : : NORTHAMPTON / 20 / LONDON / 80 / MILES : : WARWICK / 12 / LEAMING- / TON. / 10 : : TARVER / DAVENTRY / FOUNDRY : Milestone Society National ID: WA_SHDV03.
