Cast iron post by the A170, in parish of THIRSK (HAMBLETON District), Ingramgate; opposite No. 15, 50m from Frankland Arms, on raised verge between service road and former main road, on North side of road. York iron casting, erected by the Thirsk turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : EASINGWOLD / 12 (should be 10) / {sheep & lamb or cow & calf} : : LONDON / 220 : : THIRSK / {crest} / {drover figure} : Grade II Listed.
