Carved stone post by the B1172, in parish of WYMONDHAM (SOUTH NORFOLK District), London Road, 40m East of Rose Farm, on the verge, on South side of road. Thetford diamond, erected by the Thetford (to Norwich) turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : THETFORD / 18 / MILES : : LONDON / 98 / MILES : : NORWICH / 11 / MILES : Carved benchmark on right side; defaced bench mark on left side. Milestone Society National ID: NO_NT11.
