Carved stone post by the A629, in parish of HUDDERSFIELD (KIRKLEES District), Halifax Road; Prince Royd, between Shire Link Van Hire and P&A Motors, back to low stone wall, on North side of road. Huddersfield 'To - From' stone, erected by the Halifax & Huddersfield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / HUDDERSFIELD / 2 / MILES : : FROM / HUDDERSFIELD / 2 / MILES : Carved benchmark on bevel. Milestone Society National ID: YW_XHTF25.
