The milestone is nearly opposite the junction with Whitney Drive, on the grass verge, on the east side of the road. Parish of Stevenage (Stevenage District). Carved stone post, Stevenage stone design, erected by the Stevenage & Biggleswade turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 32 / MILES / FROM / LONDON / BALDOCK Milestone Society National ID: HE_LY32
