Carved stone post by the A458, in parish of WESTBURY (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), Halfway House; by "Edge Croft", by the road, on South side of road. Erected by the Shrewsbury to Welshpool turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (SALOP) (X) Shropshire HER listed.
